Exclusion refers to specific events that the insurance plan will not offer coverage for. While domestic travel insurance policies help travellers alleviate financial risk and stress they do not cover all aspects like accident that occurs under the influence of alcohol. Travel insurance plans work on the principle of transparency. The insurers offer coverage for claims or incidents mentioned in the claim documents. It is important to mention items of your specific concern and check with the insurer. The claim for the non-listed items is denied Domestic travel insurance exclusions are generally ignored by most policyholders or travellers, as they are typically mentioned in the fine print. It is significant to read through the insurance coverage plan carefully and purchase extra coverage if there are any gaps.
